O clima dominante no Ceará é, segundo Köppen, do tipo BSh (clima semiárido quente) de zona seca. Caracterizou-se a vegetação natural de 17 estações em 10 municípios do Ceará, das bacias hidrográficas dos rios Acaraú e Coreaú. As expedições para a realização de inventários fitossociológicos foram efetuadas nas áreas da Caatinga (2014 – 2019, 2023) e no Cerrado (2018, 2023). Identificaram-se 15 comunidades, classificadas em arbóreas, arbóreo-arbustivas, arbustivas e herbáceas (orlas umbrófilas e heliófilas) e propõem-se seis séries de vegetação, duas climatófilas (Caatinga), duas edafoxerófilas (Cerrado) e duas edafohigrófilas (Caatinga). Os artistas citados no título poderão ser considerados os balizadores históricos do tema a estudar, pois caraterizam um tempo e uma paisagem histórica. O nosso território de pesquisa consiste nas artes visuais e o fio condutor é a temática da Paisagem. Com esta tese pretendemos pensar, investigar, interpretar e convidar a uma reflexão sobre as diferentes dimensões contidas na temática artística, cultural e estética da Paisagem nas Artes Visuais. The course is centred in the landscapes which traditionally have been classified as rural and have at present multiple characteristics, as the fragmented periurban fringes, the productivist agricultural areas, vibrant residential communities or the most marginal rural peripheries. Particular attention is given to the interaction between rural and urban landscapes. Landscape will be considered from a spatial perspective especially the relationship between agriculture and other functions and other uses of the landscape, as well as the values resulting from these multiple uses. The discussions will develop the understanding of the changes taking place based on merging conceptual backgrounds from different perspectives.
