| Abstract: | Sport socializes values that integrate people into society, promoting cohesion
and social order within the framework of ethical principles that underlie, at least
theoretically, sports practices. However, driven by action logics not always consistent
with codes of ethics and fair play, athletes, coaches, managers and other sports agents
often adopt deviant behaviors, including in contexts of athlete training.
This communication emerges from a study on the values of sports ethics in the
training of athletes. Here, we focus only on two objectives: a) to know the values of
sports ethics espoused by the volleyball athletes of the studied team; b) characterize
the practices of coaches aimed at training their athletes with values of sporting ethics. |
