| Abstract: | A mobile digital app development project involves several phases. This research developed in Learning Setting promoted an exploratory phase intending to promote greater reflexivity among students, where they can iteratively explore various codes and patterns of information. This research focuses on identifying design literacy elements that can guide the future development of a design proposal. In a design course learning setting, this paper focuses on developing an exploratory phase of a project for an app for the future Central Hospital of Alentejo (Portugal) . This Study aims to answer how a strategy combining a thematic analysis and an exploratory mapping contributes to reflexivity on solutions to explore in a project. The Study follows the methodologies of descriptive case study and thematic analysis. The results allowed the researchers to verify that using different mappings in the exploratory phases allows the students to exercise Reasoning in the context of the broader find patterns that surprise them and increase their Engagement with the project. |
