A música tradicional asturiana na música erudita para piano: uma abordagem interpretativa de repertório selecionado dos séculos XIX e XX

Abstract

O presente trabalho analisa a influência da música tradicional asturiana no repertório pianístico dos séc. XIX e XX, com um enfoque particular no movimento nacionalista asturiano. Através de uma análise interpretativa das obras dos compositores Anselmo González del Valle, Benjamín Orbón e Luís Vázquez del Fresno, explora-se o contexto histórico e cultural, bem como o emprego de melodias, ritmos e danças tradicionais que fundamentam estas composições. O objetivo é identificar as principais questões interpretativas na execução ao piano dessas peças, destacando e promovendo um repertório musical menos conhecido, mas de grande importância para a identidade cultural das Astúrias. A metodologia adotada para a análise folclórica e interpretativa baseia-se nos enquadramentos teóricos de Benavides (2019), Rink (2002) e López-Cano e San Cristóbal Opazo (2014) O estudo das obras tradicionais asturianas nas peças permitiu compreender melhor a sua essência e contribuir para uma análise interpretativa mais completa e informada; - Asturian traditional music in classical piano repertoire: a performative approach to selected works from the 19th and 20th centuries. Abstract: This master´s project analyzes the influence of traditional Asturian music on the pianistic repertoire of the 19th and 20th centuries, with a particular focus on the Asturian nationalist movement. Through an interpretative analysis of the works of composers Anselmo González del Valle, Benjamín Orbón, and Luís Vázquez del Fresno, it explores the historical and cultural context, as well as the use of traditional melodies, rhythms, and dances that underpin these compositions. The aim is to identify the main interpretative challenges in the piano performance of these pieces, highlighting and promoting a lesser-known yet highly significant musical repertoire for the cultural identity of Asturias. The methodology adopted for the folkloric and interpretative analysis is based on the theoretical frameworks of Benavides (2019), Rink (2002), and López-Cano and San Cristóbal Opazo (2014). Studying the Asturian folk elements in these works allowed for a deeper understanding of their essence and contributed to a more complete and informed interpretative analysis.
